The New Blackberry flagship coming out soon Code Mercury
Jan 10th 2017
TCL partnered with BlackBerry to announce that there would be news at CES in 2017. It wasn’t clear if the announcement would be around a phone to be released in 2017, or the ideas they had for future lines of devices. Now, it does look likely that it’s the BlackBerry Mercury.
The design was leaked at the end of 2016, and it looks like the BlackBerry Mercury will have some exciting features.
It seems that the device will use Android 7.0 Nougat as its operating system, and the QWERTY keyboard is making a return. It is rumored to also have a fingerprint scanner, identity verification, and mobile payment methods.
There is no release date as yet, but rumors suggest that it may be the first half of 2017. The final specifications and technical data haven’t been released, and there’s nothing about its mobile game compatibility.
